How borrowing works
Fuel Credit quotes fixed-term USDC advances against FUEL collateral.
1. Connect a wallet
Select Connect and choose Burner Wallet, Fuel Wallet, or Fuelet from the connector modal. The connected account and Disconnect action remain separate in the top navigation. Selecting the account opens My Loans.
Burner Wallet enables the browser-only demo. Fuel Wallet and Fuelet are real connectors, but real deposits and indexed onchain loan positions are not live yet.
2. Choose FUEL collateral
Enter an exact amount or use the slider. For Fuel Wallet and Fuelet, the estimator reads the verified network-specific FUEL asset balance and caps the slider at the available balance. Burner Wallet uses an explicitly simulated balance.
3. Select a term
| Term | Maximum LTV |
|---|---|
| 6 months | 20% |
| 9 months | 22.5% |
| 12 months | 25% |
A longer term permits a larger advance against the same FUEL collateral.
4. Review the quote
The quote shows:
- estimated final maturity date;
- fixed 10% borrowing APY;
- estimated one-time FUEL fee;
- USDC borrow amount;
- partial repayment support.
MVP status
The Sway contract now models the complete fee upfront in FUEL and principal-only repayment before maturity. Real deposit transaction wiring, deployment, price-oracle service, and production pool funding must still be completed before production borrowing.
5. Deposit
With Burner Wallet, Deposit opens a browser-only simulated loan and then shows the My Loans dashboard. No Fuel transaction occurs.
With Fuel Wallet or Fuelet, the action remains Deposits not live. The target opening transaction submits collateral plus the complete upfront FUEL fee and atomically receives the fixed USDC principal. A reusable five-minute Fuel secp256k1 oracle attestation supplies the current FUEL price and timestamp. The contract binds the caller as borrower and independently validates the term, computes LTV, principal and APY-derived fee, checks payment, and transfers USDC.
